Ana Kristina Gasteyer (born January 1st, 1977) is a popular American performer and comedian. Her most well-known work was being a frequent cast member of the sketch comedy program on NBC's Saturday Night Live between 1996 between 1996 and 2002. Since then, she has been featured in sitcoms like ABC's Suburgatory TBS's People of Earth NBC's American Auto, and the movie Mean Girls. Gasteyer's professional career started at Northwestern University. She originally enrolled in a vocal major, but then switched to theater after becoming involved with the campus comedy club. Sheila Shay from Suburgatory was an extremely controlling character as she is in Lady Dynamite. Karen Grisham was the character played by Karen Grisham who had a eccentric persona.
